Interview from Nick Saban on November 21, 2006. Nick Saban reflects on his time and friendships he made at Michigan State. “Tom’s my good friend and I love basketball and I didn’t miss many games when Tom was there. He’s certainly somebody who I have a lot of respect for." This is still his big desire to have a championship basketball program. In which he has recently informed the UA athletic department, that he would like Tom Izzo to join him at The University of Alabama. Saban's family recently told The Tide Times that a contract has already been put together for a period of eight years.
